Inside the Community

What is here before you decide to join.

The community is where the actual work happens. Here’s what’s inside before you decide to join.

Wide isn’t all or nothing here. Plenty of members publish everywhere; plenty keep ebooks in Kindle Unlimited and go wide in print, audio or translations. Nobody is asked to defend their mix.

Rooms organized by what you’re working on

  • Going Wide — broadening where and how your books sell
  • Publishing Platforms & Distributors — Kobo, Apple, Google Play, Draft2Digital, PublishDrive, StreetLib
  • Print Editions — IngramSpark, print distribution, large print
  • Direct Sales & Subscriptions — selling from your own storefront
  • Audiobooks, Translations, International Sales, Crowdfunding, Serial Fiction Apps
  • Writing Life and Finances & Money — the parts of the business nobody warns you about
  • Feedback Requests — post a cover, a blurb or a page and get honest reads

Direct access to industry partners

Distributors, print providers, review services and promotional platforms hold their own spaces inside the community. You can ask them questions directly, in public, and read what they’ve told other authors — which is usually more useful than a sales page.

A weekly roundup, and nothing else you didn’t ask for

Every Tuesday you get one email summarizing what was posted in the spaces you follow. Everything else is controlled in your own settings.

It’s private, and it stays that way

The community is members-only and not indexed publicly. People post real revenue numbers, real rejection stories and real mistakes here, and that only works in a room that isn’t open to the world.

Joining is free

Membership costs nothing. Courses are sold separately if you want structured help, and you can see all of them on the courses page before joining anything.

More than 2,400 authors are already inside.

Free, takes about a minute, and you are in the spaces straight away.
